
The name already reveals what the cake will be and that it must be a delight! At least if you like Stracciatella ice cream. We love this cake and it’s ideal for every day or for a birthday party garnished with smarties or sprinkles!
How to prepare:
Ingredients
125g soft butter
160g sugar
2 eggs
200g sour cream (Schmand)
250g flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch of salt
150g chocolate chips
Optional: chocolate couverture & sprinkles!
Directions
Preheat the oven to 160°C (air circulation or 180°c top/bottom heat).
Prepare a baking tin with butter, that the dough won’t stick in the end (it works with a rectangular one, as well as round of bundt style, just the baking time might vary, depending how ‘high’ the cake is).
Mix together butter and sugar until smooth. Now add eggs after each other and the sour cream. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt and then add to the mix. Last add the chocolate chips.
Now pour the batter in the prepared baking tin and bake for 30-50 minutes depending on the form you used (rectangular approx. 50 mins, round approx. 30 mins).
Let the cake cool down and then – if wanted – add the chocolate couverture and e.g. sprinkles or smarties as garnish! Enjoy!
