Quiche with Goat Cheese & Figs, Prociutto, Honey & Walnuts

We are enjoying our lovely family vacation in the beautiful house of my in-laws in Tuscany. They not only have a great pool, donkeys, a tractor (yes, all the things my little one adores), but also fig trees in the garden. And lucky enough – we just harvested the last figs of the season! So what else could I have done than directly prepare a meal with them included?

American Cheesecake

My husband is a cheesecake lover – ranging from the German “Käsekuchen“, which has a more fluffy consistency, to the classic American Cheesecake version. And as it was his birthday lately, of course one of the cheesecakes needed to be made for the birthday table. The good thing about the American Cheesecake is, that it doesn’t need the oven, making it a lot nicer to prepare in hot temperatures.

Mascarpone Cream with Berries

Burrata with White Peaches, Avocado & Blackberry Coulis

Remember not too long ago I posted a similar dish? Well I pimped it a bit, well actually a bit more than a bit. Some additional different ingredients combine this to a taste explosion in your mouth. Oh yes, you definitely want to try this out!!

Tomato & Feta Salad with Pine Nuts

Simple salad, looks beautiful and tastes deliciously summery! To be honest, I more or less scattered together what I still had in the house, having been too lazy to go grocery shopping and the result was great. Plus the Swiss national colors for the 1st of August national day!! Happy birthday Switzerland!
