This is a must if you are a Matcha green tea fan!! These cookies are super delicious, really easy to make and look great. You can of course also prepare without white chocolate or combine with dark chocolate, macadamia nuts or anything else you want to add. Have fun!
See the easy recipe here:
Ingredients
100g butter
50g white sugar
100g brown sugar (I used light brown muscovado sugar)
A pinch of salt
1 egg
150g flour
3 heaped spoons of Matcha green tea powder (non-sweetened)
½ teaspoon baking soda
100g white chocolate
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 165°C (oven set to air circulation).
Melt the butter in a pot. In a mixing bowl add the melted butter, both sugars, egg and salt and mix with a dough hook. It will be fairly sticky, then add flour, matcha powder and baking soda to the mix.
Chop a bar of white chocolate into chunks and add to the dough.
Now use a teaspoon to add small heaps of dough onto lined baking tray – leave enough space in between each heap, as the cookies will spread out.
Bake for 10 minutes and then let them cool.
Serve directly or store in an airtight container.
