Oh my, a new favorite and I can’t keep my fingers off them. Due to the Corona Virus, I have been able to be a little bit more active on my cooking and baking. And I prepared this deliciousness with my son on the weekend, so we could cut out lovely Easter forms. Lucky I had bunny, baby chic, butterfly and woolly sheep cookie cutters…

Ingredients
600g flour
400g butter
200g sugar
2 egg yolks
Lemon zest of 1/2 a lemon

If you want to prepare glaze:
3 tablespoons milk
100g confectioners’ sugar
Plus Sprinkles/Pearls (optional) to top

Directions
Mix all ingredients above to a dough.
Place in the fridge for 1 hour.

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C (air circulation).
Roll out the dough. Use cookie cutters to make nice cookies and place on a lined baking tray.

Place in the oven for approx. 7 minutes, until they are lightly browned (see picture).

If you want to decorate, prepare the glaze, spread on the cooled off cookies and decorate with sprinkles.
