Quick and easy: This Apple Cake is a delicious variation to other apples cakes. It gives a bit of a feeling of a nice and thick pancake! I really like it and perfect to give the apple season a little variation.
See how to make here:
Ingredients
1 pack of square/rectangle puff pastry (approx. 25x38cm, 270g)
50g butter
50g sugar
80g flour
300ml milk
4 eggs
4-6 apples (I used Breaburn, but Golden Delicious is also an option)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 175°C (oven set to air circulation).
Peel the apples, take out the pit and cut in half. Now cut each half and cut into slices, keeping them together though.
Place the puff pastry in a casserole form. Place the apples on top, always changing the cut-direction (see picture).
In a mixing bowl combine butter and sugar, eggs and flour, as well as the milk. Pour the batter onto the apples in the casserole form. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
Place in the oven for approx. 30 minutes.
Serve warm or cold plain or with vanilla ice-cream.
