This brings up quite a lot of childhood memories…! My mother used to bake Banana Bread and the whole family would love it, spreading Nutella on the freshly baked, still warm, Banana Bread! This time I baked the Banana Bread and served it for Brunch, of course not forgetting to buy a glass of Nutella!

See the recipe here:

Ingredients for 6
300g flour (2 cups)
3 flat teaspoons baking powder
3-5 bananas (the more the better)
140ml sunflower oil (3/4 cup)
50g sugar (1/4 cup)
1 pack of vanilla sugar (approx. 10g)
1 egg
Raisins / walnuts (optional)

Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (oven set to air circulation).
Squish the bananas in a container. In a separate container mix flour and baking powder. Then add the egg, sugar, vanilla sugar and oil, including the bananas, mix shortly. If you want to add raisins or walnuts, just add and mix with the rest of the dough. Now fill the dough into a rectangle bread baking tin, which you greased with butter slightly, so the dough does not stick and bake for 40-50 minutes. If the top should darken too much, just cover with a sheet of tin foil for the rest of the cooking time. Just use a wooden skewer to check if the Banana Bread is ready – if still doughy, leave in for another bit, if the skewer is dry, its ready.
