Thanksgiving has already passed by, but this walnut pie is something that makes my heart jump as a dessert throughout autumn and winter time. It’s fairly simple to prepare and an absolute delight in combination with vanilla ice cream!!

See how to make here:

Ingredients
For the pie filling:
1 cup (approx. 140g) brown sugar (I used muscovado)
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup butter (approx. 140g), melted
2 tablespoons milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
200g walnuts

Have vanilla ice cream or whipped cream in the house to serve with the pecan pie!

For the crust:
200g flour
100g butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
3-4 tablespoons cold water

Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (air circulation).

For the crust:
In a mixer, combine all the ingredients and then spread the dough into a pie form.

For the pie filling:
Melt the butter in a pan (or microwave if you have one). Mix together with the sugar, flour, eggs, milk and vanilla. Spread the walnuts inside the pie crust.

Pour the butter-sugar-mix on top.

Now just place in the oven for approx. 35-45 minutes. And you are ready!!
