Fresh Pears Baked in Cream

One of my all time favorites and I just dug up this recipe from Martha Stewart again this winter. It’s honestly to die for!! The only downside is, that it does take some time in the oven, however if you are prepared and you have finished the main course, your guests are surely happy to wait a bit for the dessert. This is really a must-try!!

Ravioli with Butter-Sage-Pine-Nut Sauce

This is one of my favorite sauces for Ravioli. It’s simple and delicious. We often prepare this pasta dish in the summer in Italy, when we are there on vacation and I just can’t get enough of it. But it tastes just as well in Winter time. Believe me! My mother-in-law showed me how to prepare it!

The perfect comfort food and ideal to get rid of any leftover bread. We had a Swiss cheese fondue evening lately and had a lot of bite sized bread bits left. So on the Sunday evening it was Bread & Butter Pudding time! Fairly easy to prepare and you have most ingredients at home, I would guess.

Some time ago I stumbled over this interesting way of preparing salad. What I like is the fact, that it’s a light dinner, easy to prepare and still you have something warm in your tummy on these colder days heading towards Christmas (and all the deliciousness that goes with it). Works really well with a fried egg too! Give it a try!
